I graduated from the University of  California, Berkeley in 1978 and Golden Gate University School of Law, San Francisco, CA in 1981 and passed the bar exam on the first attempt.

I worked for Robert J. Sheppard and Associates in San Francisco from 1981-1991 and won many large settlements for my clients.  That law firm was on the “cutting edge” of Landlord-Tenant law in San Francisco.  We transformed wrongful eviction lawsuits from “nuisance value” cases to six-figure settlements. We also won many personal injury and other cases.

Later I moved to Oakland and started my own firm. I practiced law there successfully  for 12 years.

I volunteered my legal expertise for the Homeless Advocacy Project in San Francisco, assisting the homeless with obtaining Veterans benefits, Social Security Disability and other benefits to help them get off the streets.  I provided volunteer legal services for Legal Assistance for Seniors in Oakland helping seniors with evictions and other issues affecting the elderly.

I moved here to Chico, California in late 2010  and I set up my law practice here. I am excited to help people in Butte County with their legal issues.
